During the COVID-19 pandemic the State of Florida along with the Florida Healthcare Administration granted long term care & skilled nursing centers the unique ability to hire a non-clinical patient support position called Patient Care Attendants (PCA). This role assists nurses and C.N.A’s with non-clinical tasks to help care for residents, which also helps to support much needed staffing challenges.
PCA’s are given specialized training from our team members on their responsibilities in the role, and if that team member is interested in furthering their skills & career Palm Garden Healthcare can offer them our C.N.A Sponsorship program! With this program, Palm Garden Healthcare will pay for that team member to go to school, while still maintaining a full-time position with us, to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A)! In addition, after working for one year full-time with Palm Garden Healthcare, they are then eligible to participate in our Tuition Reimbursement program which helps to reimburse a portion of tuition costs so that they can go to school to attain their LPN or RN degrees!
In a little over one year you could go from not having a clear direction for your career to becoming a C.N.A., caring for our elder population, enriching their lives and making cherished memories with them! Within a short time after that you could be graduating with an LPN or RN degree, where your career choices are then limitless!
